How It Started

From Giving Back to Project Beauty for Good

Long before Project Beauty for Good had a name, The MakeUp Fair Series had already found ways to support emerging businesses within its community.

Over the years, selected upcoming and emerging brands were given complimentary opportunities to exhibit at different editions of The MakeUp Fair Series, helping them access customers, visibility and the wider business opportunities that come with being part of the fair.

In 2025, The MakeUp Fair Series decided to give this commitment a clearer structure and identity. That was when Project Beauty for Good was formally named and began operating more intentionally as a social impact initiative.

PB4G started quietly, with a percentage of attendee fees from selected TMUFS editions committed to supporting its interventions. What had previously been occasional acts of support became a more deliberate approach to financial assistance, welfare support, business support and market-access opportunities.

On 2 September 2026, PB4G is being formally unveiled to the wider community as part of the birthday celebration of TMUFS founder, Omolola Faleye.

The unveiling is an opportunity to share what has been happening quietly, invite the wider community to be part of the journey, and create room for individuals, brands and organisations who also want to give back.

Purpose

Why We Exist

Life and business can sometimes be disrupted by unexpected financial pressure or limited access to opportunity.

Sometimes what is needed is financial support.

Sometimes it is market access, visibility or business support.

Sometimes it is simply timely assistance that can help someone keep moving forward.

PB4G exists to provide practical support where it can make a meaningful difference.

Our Mission

To provide single mothers, widows and emerging entrepreneurs with practical support, resources and opportunities that strengthen livelihoods, encourage enterprise and create pathways towards financial independence, while extending care and support to children in need.

Our Vision

A future where everyone we support has the opportunity and resources to thrive, fulfil their potential and create better futures for themselves and their families.

What We Set Out to Do

Our Objectives

  • Support single mothers and widows towards greater financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
  • Provide financial and business support that enables income generation, enterprise development and sustainable livelihoods.
  • Facilitate access to skills, tools and capacity-building opportunities that strengthen personal and business development.
  • Provide targeted welfare and practical support where needed.
  • Create visibility and market-access opportunities through The MakeUp Fair Series and its wider beauty ecosystem.
  • Support promising emerging entrepreneurs and small businesses, particularly within the beauty industry, with opportunities that can accelerate growth.
  • Extend support to children in need, including through selected organisations and initiatives that advance their welfare, education and opportunities.

How PB4G Is Funded

Project Beauty for Good is supported in part through attendee fees from selected editions of The MakeUp Fair Series.

For selected TMUFS editions, 20% of attendee fees is committed to PB4G interventions.

This creates a direct connection between participation in our beauty community and the impact PB4G is able to create beyond the exhibition floor.

Every ticket has the potential to contribute to something bigger.

Timeline

Our Journey

  1. 2025

PB4G provided primarily financial support to beneficiaries, including single mothers and widows, as well as selected external organisations carrying out community-focused initiatives.

The focus during this period was on providing direct financial assistance to help ease some of the financial pressures faced by beneficiaries.

  2. 2026

In 2026, PB4G continued to provide direct financial support while broadening its reach to include entrepreneurs within the food and hospitality sector.

The initiative also expanded its support model by providing market-access opportunities to two emerging businesses, enabling them to participate in The 19th Lagos MakeUp Fair and gain greater visibility, customer access and business exposure.

Market Access

Extending Impact to Emerging Businesses

In 2026, PB4G expanded its support beyond direct individual assistance to include market-access opportunities for emerging businesses.

Two businesses were supported with participation opportunities at The Lagos MakeUp Fair, providing access to exhibition space, visibility, customers and new networks.

Accountability

Our Approach to Giving & Accountability

Supporting Project Beauty for Good is entirely voluntary. Contributions help fund PB4G’s programmes, interventions and related impact activities and are administered as part of the initiative’s overall pool of resources.

PB4G provides accountability through periodic impact reporting, which shares how the initiative is progressing, the areas of support delivered and the collective impact created.

To protect the privacy and dignity of beneficiaries, public reports may present information in aggregate and may not disclose individual beneficiaries, businesses or specific amounts received.

Individual donors should therefore not expect separate or personalised expenditure reports for their contributions unless this has been specifically agreed in advance.

Organisations, brands or individuals wishing to fund a specific programme, support category or intervention — or who require a defined reporting framework — are welcome to partner with PB4G under a separately agreed partnership arrangement.

Programme activities, contributions and related administration are managed through The MakeUp Fair Series.

Giving is optional. Partnership is intentional. Impact is shared.
